Picsart Expands WAN 2.7 AI Video Features Across Creation Tools

Picsart has made WAN 2.7 its default AI video model, adding support for five reference images and videos, first-and-last frame control, higher-resolution output, camera direction prompts, and broader access across its video tools.

WAN 2.7 now sits at the center of Picsartโ€™s video creation system as the platformโ€™s default model for AI-generated clips. The release introduces support for text-based prompts, image-led generation, reference media, and start-to-end frame control in one workflow. Users can work with as many as five images and five videos as references during generation. Free access includes video creation of up to five seconds at 720p.

๐Ÿ”‘ Key Highlights

  • Latest model now powers Picsart video creation tools
  • Users can add five reference images and videos
  • Creators can set opening and closing video frames
  • Video output reaches 4K at several clip lengths
  • Audio timing and motion handling receive updates

The update expands how creators shape scenes and movement. Users can describe camera actions in plain language, including directions such as panning or zooming, while the model follows those instructions during generation. Resolution reaches 4K at 4096ร—2160, and clips can be created at five, 10, or 15 seconds across standard aspect ratios. Audio timing also received changes so voices, music, and environmental sounds align more closely with visuals.

Picsart places the model across several tools rather than limiting it to one area. The AI Video Generator runs it by default on mobile native, mobile web, desktop web, and a larger desktop generation view. AI Playground allows side-by-side testing against other models, while Flow keeps video work connected to images, audio, and export steps in one workspace.

The company also outlined where the release fits into its broader product lineup. Users already working with an earlier version in Flow move into the new system without changing tools. Storyline and Aura are expected to receive the model after launch, while platform placements include featured model sections, feeds, banners, and a dedicated model page.

The update also changes how repeated scenes can be assembled. Reference media helps keep characters, products, environments, and visual details aligned across clips, especially when scenes stretch across multiple shots. Product visuals can shift into motion-focused content, while explainers, story-led videos, and short promotional clips remain connected through planned transitions and consistent visuals.

๐Ÿ“Š What This Means (Our Analysis)

This update matters because it shifts creative work toward greater consistency without adding extra setup. By placing reference media, frame controls, and camera instructions into one system, Picsart gives creators more predictable results inside tools they already use.

The rollout also strengthens continuity across projects that involve repeated scenes or recurring visuals. A workflow that moves from ideas to visuals, motion, sound, and export in one place can reduce friction while helping creators keep projects visually connected.

๐Ÿ“Œ Our Take: As video creation tools become more connected, control and consistency may define what creators value most.
